Usually, this is the time of week I'd sit down and give a review for the latest Naruto chapter, but really... what's the point anymore?

You all have followed my journals long enough to already know exactly what I think of this chapter.

This series has gone from enjoyable, to mildly annoying, to unbearable and abysmal. And I cannot, for the life of me, figure out anything that could pull it out of this ditch.

As things stand, not even ceasing the Uchiha-centric BS would be enough to return this series to it's former greatness.

So what am I saying? Am I saying I'm quitting the manga?

No. No, I am not, and I'll tell you why.

1: I'm a glutton for punishment(no use in denying it)
2: I still have several bets to fulfill involving the outcome of the series(namely the final pairings and Obitobi)

I'll continue to read it, write journals bitching about it, and even parody it with shitty comics. But my heart will definitely no longer be in it. This now sorry excuse for manga has disappointed me more than the United States government(and that’s saying a lot).

Apparently, when you write the most popular manga in the world(real good judgment on that one, world), after so many chapters you don't even need to try anymore.

Disagree with me, talk about how this was the greatest chapter ever and how you love the Uchiha’s backstory. You won’t get a response as I don’t care anymore.

With that, it's time for a rant. Something that's been pissing me off for a while, but this chapter was the final nail in the coffin.

Warning. The following rant contains excessive cursing. More excessive than usual. So if you are easily offended, fuck off.

Remember back in the old days? When villains in fiction were homicidal maniacs who committed crimes and killed people just for the fun of it?

Yeah, what the SHIT happened to that?

No. Really. I'm not just asking for sarcastic effect. What the hell happened?

Look at your typical villain now. It’s the same story EVERY FUCKING TIME...

1: Dude’s mama/papa dies and/or gets raped
2: Dude goes emo
3: “NOBODY UNDERSTANDS ME!”
4: Dude becomes a villain
5: Dude gets his ass kicked by the hero
6: Hero makes dude see the error of his ways
7: Dude becomes good guy or turns out to have really been a good all along
8: Dude dies an honorable death for the sake of the hero; making him an hero, too.

“Oh! But giving the villains a sad background makes them more three-dimensional and helps people understand them better!” FUCK NO.

I do NOT want some pissant little shits committing mass genocide because their daddies didn’t love them enough.

I WANT BATSHIT INSANE VILLAINS WHO GOT SENT TO INSANE ASYLUM WHEN THEY WERE FOUR FOR BLOWING UP SQUIRRELS, KILL PEOPLE TO GET A JOLLY AND LICK THE BLOOD OFF THEIR HANDS AFTER MUTILATING THE VICTIMS BODIES.

I am SICK of this shit. Suddenly EVERY villain has to have an excuse. If villains have excuses, WELL THAT DOESN’T MAKE THEM VILLAINS, NOW DOES IT?! It makes them HEROES acting out for attention.
